AED’s

This past year I took Sports Medicine at school. It was a great class because I play sports but also because we became First Aid Certified. That part of the class was what would be expected, CPR etc. However, we also became AED certified. AED is an automated external defibrillator. It is used when a person’s heart has stopped. It is amazing. It saves 10′s of 1000′s of lives every year because a person is essentially able to start up a heart again minutes before EMS is even on the scene. They are becoming ever more prominent in public spaces and should be found everywhere.
