A friend of mine installed some new high power led lights for his living room in his apartment. He got a bunch of different colors and they look really cool. I’m not sure exactly why he bought them but when he has people over for a party they look pretty cool.We’ll turn off the lights and put those lights on. Those plus some music make for a really cool party.

Theft

I just heard about rfid theft. Where people can steal your credit card without actually stealing your credit card? That’s really scary. I’m always really careful about using my credit card online and holding onto my wallet when I’m walking around downtown etc. I have never really thought about making sure people don’t steal my information without actually taking anything from me!

Wedding Shows

My friends and I love to watch all the wedding shows on tv. There are always marathons on so we’re always able to watch. Watching inevitably leads to conversations about our own wedding plans or the specifics we want, what our dress will look like, which bridesmaids dresses we’ll have and where we want it. It’s definitely a fun past time and we tend to do it a lot.

Teammates

I have teammates from all over the country. We have a couple from California, one from New York and a bunch from Texas. I went and visited one of my teammates that lived in Houston last summer. As hot as it was the one thing I noticed and clearly remember was how nice all the yards in her neighborhood looked. Sprinkler systems Houston must make a killing in that neighborhood.

Blinds

My brother and I were playing soccer in the house the other night, never a good idea. We were playing and I kicked the ball, scored by the way and it was the winning goal, but the ball hit the window. I didn’t break the window, which was really good because my mom would have killed me. I did break the wood blinds though. I wasn’t in too much trouble and it was definitely worth it!

Guitars

My friend just bought a new ESP guitar. I don’t know too much about music but he invited me over to listen to him try it out. It sounded really awesome. We had a great time. I got to request a bunch of songs I wanted to hear and he got to try out his new guitar. I wouldn’t mind if he bought new guitars more often. That way I get to hear live versions of my favorite songs all afternoon!

My dad always decides to fix something around the house or actually he decides to improve something around the house. So he buys all this stuff that he decides he needs to complete these projects. Don’t get me wrong these are definitely projects that the house can use, but he always seems to either forget about doing it or just doesn’t do it. So we have drawers full of tube bending, nails, and screws. Someday they’ll be used.

Moving

My friend’s parents are moving soon to Illinois. It’s really weird because since we go to college in different places we won’t ever see each other. What was even more weird was the order in which her dad found things in Illinois. His first search was for malpractice insurance illinois, then he started looking for a house. I guess insurance is pretty important but I think a house ranks up there as well!

Cars

So I always tell my dad and all my guy friends that I don’t really need to know how to do anything with my car (change a tire etc.) or fix something in my room all I have to do is call a guy. Well, my car broke down the other day on my way back to school. No one could come pick me up or help fix my car (if that could be done, I had no idea) for at least an hour. Then when I finally got back to school part of my desk had broken. I think those were signs that I need to at least invest in some general international tools or something.

Intramural Sports

My soccer team always signs up for intramural basketball in the winter. It is so fun. The team ranges from girls that played varsity in high school and honestly could have played college basketball to girls that have never tried a sport where you use your hands. However, this year we were really good!! We won the championship and we got these awesome custom tee shirts. We wear them all the time.
